Grandpa
So Kennady loves her Grandpa's! She always has that was one of her first words. So anytime she gets with them she loves it! After our race my dad was aerating the lawn outside and she wanted to go out with him, so he had her sit on his lap while he drove around the back yard, she loved it! Thanks to her grandparents for being so great with her and loving her so much!
Half Marathon
So my awesome sister Chelsey convinced me to train and run the Salt Lake Half Marathon with her. She did it last year and it was so awesome to see her finish, that I decided to do it. I convinced Ty to run it with me, he was so nice and patient with me through the training, cause I am not as fast as he is! We started training in January, I could barely run 1 mile! I remember my first 3 mile run I threw up and it was so hard. The longest run we did was a 9 and a half mile run about a month ago! We babysat my bosses kids while they went to Rome for 10 days, so we took like 2 weeks off from training 2 weeks before the race, not a very smart idea! But we tried really hard to run a lot the last 2 weeks to get back. It was amazing how long it takes to get in shape and how easy it is to get out! So we got going in the race and we felt really good. The first 10 miles were really nice and actually kind of fun. We just took our time so we didn't get too tired and we soaked it all in all the energy that is there. Along the way there was probably 6 different groups of bands, singers, or people playing music. It was really cool. So many people stand out along the trail and cheer, it was fun I would give people high 5 and cheer back to them and say thanks! It does help to know that random people are out to support everyone! We ran from the Olympic bridge up by the University of Utah and ran down to Gateway. We ran through Sugar house neighborhoods and it was really fun, and a fun place to run. After mile 10 I had a mental break down, I actually started crying and told Ty I couldn't do it! But he was so patient and good with me and kept pushing me on! The last 2 miles were like uphill too which made it worse for me of course! But when we turned the corner by Gateway and saw Ty's family with our little Kennady it was so awesome, and then when we went down the middle of Gateway and my parents were there cheering taking pics, and Chelseys inlaws the Pughs were there cheering (and Chelsey, she beat us by like 15 minutes good job Chelsey!!) It was so awesome. We finished together with a 2 hours and 21 minute time! Kind of slow, but I wasn't in this to go fast, I just wanted to finish, and especially since we took those few weeks off, not a good idea! But we are so glad we did it. We are really sore today, and my big toenail is coming off, and a few blisters, but it was an awesome experience for me and Ty to do together. We had to help each other through it, mostly Ty helped me through it. Now I can say I have ran a half marathon! We would like to thank everyone that came, Ty's parents, Parker, Heidi, my good friend Megan Vukich and he little baby Cayden, my parents, Courtnee, CaRynn and of course our little baby Kennady! Thanks to Ty's parents for taking her and helping her through it all. Now our next feat will be a triathlon, me and Chelsey are going to start training to swim, we are not good swimmers so if anyone knows a good place to take lessons let me know. Here are some pics..
EASTER!!
We had a really fun Easter. We went on Saturday to the South Jordan Easter egg hunt so my parents and Ty's could all come see her. Chelsey and Kevin were out of town and Chad was in Idaho, so Kennady was the only grand kid around for my family so it was pretty fun. She loved to get all the candy she had a cute Tickerbell basket, the hunt started with the firetruck sounding off, and Kennady didn't like that, she got kind of scared and wanted Ty by her the whole time! She also didn't like the Easter bunny very much, she also didn't like Santa! So good thing we didn't take her to the mall. We then went to the little slide play area and put out our own Easter eggs for her to find and she did really well with that, but mostly loved the slide! We took some really cute pictures in her Easter dress, Ty's parents have them, but here are some of her in another cute dress. After hte hunt we went with Ty's parents to the Living Planet Aquarium, I was kind of disappointed, I thought it was supposed to be cooler, but Kennady loved it. She mostly loved the spiders! She didn't want to leave them, I was freaking out I hate spiders! So Keith and Cheryl got her a toy Spider (just everyone know, we don't want a realy spider I might have to move out!!) On Sunday we went to both parents houses and ate lunch at Ty's and dinner at mine. Ty's family has a tradition that they have creamed eggs over toast, sounds gross but we love it! We had a lot of fun that weekend even though it was pretty cold!

5 Year Anniversary
So March 23 was our 5 year anniversary. It was a really fun time. We went to Las Vegas and St. George for 4 days to celebrate. We stayed at the Stratosphere in the romance suite. We walked around vegas and went through all the casinos and went shopping and stuff. We went to dinner at the Top of the World restaurant at the Stratosphere. It was really cool it rotates 360 around the building and you can see the whole valley, it was really cool. Ty kind of got a little motion sick from it though. They had such pretty food, but it was really good! The next day we spent the whole day at the pool and I got really sunburned but didn't care cause it was such nice weather! We had a lot of fun and it was so nice to have a fun weekend away together just me and Ty. I really couldn't imagine my life without Ty, he is such an amazing husband and dad to Kennady and we both really love him more than anything. He is so good to us and works so hard, I don't know how he does everything he does and I really want him to know how much I appreciate and love him.
Special Olympics
So I had an awesome experience this last month. I got to be apart of something that was such an amazing experience and something that I will definitely do again. I got to coach the special olympics volleyball team for Bingham. It was such an awesome experience to be with those kids and see how excited they get and how much they feel so involved it is really fun! We had a few practices and we went to a one day tournament. We had 2 teams, Charron coached the upper level kids, and I did the lower level kids, with both teams we had half athletes and half peer students. It was so fun, my team played 2 games and got out, which as ok, they had just enjoyed being there and they loved playing. Charron's team took the Silver medal! It was fun to see them succeed and be so proud of themselves. There were so many amazing people there and the kids would get so excited when they got to hit the ball or anything and whether it was a good hit or not everyone cheered and the kids got a huge smile on their face. It would bring tears to my eyes every time and I was so proud of them. Anyway we are hoping to put together a soccer team and a basketball team in the fall, and I am definitely going to be involved!
