Graduation
My sister Christi graduated today! It was so crazy to think that she is that old! We went to her Seminary graduation on Sunday and her highschool graduation today. I am so proud of her and am going to miss her when she moves to Snow College. She is such a good girl, and makes such good decisions in her life. She is such a good example to me, her friends, and her younger sisters. Christi good job and I love you!!
Special Olympics Soccer
So I have been helping with the Special Olympics and we just finished with the Summer Games last weekend. Bingham had 2 soccer teams and upper division and a lower division. I don't know much about soccer so I was not as much a coach this time, but more of a cheer leader and helper to make sure the kids got water and lunches and stuff. Kennady came with me all day it was down at BYU, and she loved it! We watched most of the games, but me and Charron had to leave early to get back to basketball camp, bummer. Well our upper division team took the Gold medal!!!! They even beat Riverton to get it which makes it better! The lower division took the Silver! I am so sad we had to miss the final game for both teams! But I am so proud of them and loved being apart of this and witnessing the amazing sportsmanship and wonderful kids that are just so excited to be there and be apart of something. I get emotional just talking about it, and even being there everytime they would score we would cheer so loud and I would get a little teary eyed just watching them! I have a video clip of one of the kids scoring I will upload later on! Way to go guys!!
Memorial Weekend
So we had a really fun weekend planned for Memorial weekend. While us girls were in California we planned a fun camping trip to Goblin Valley. While we were gone Kennady started to kind of get sick, than when I got home on Monday she was not feeling so good so I took her to the Dr and she got her first ear infection ever!! Not bad for 2 years of life, but I felt so bad for her. We thought she was going to be well enough to go camping over the weekend, but then Thursday night I started feeling sick to my stomach and I got a 103 fever all night, I tried taking Tylenol but it wasn't working. I woke up really really sick and Ty came home from work for a few hours to help me get out of bed to take a bath. He went back to work but came home not feeling very well either. We tried to get a good night's sleep that night so we could go camping on Friday. Well we decided to not go to Goblin Valley and decided Diamond Fork would be closer and better. Anyway we woke up Friday both of with really high temps and colds, and I was sick to my stomach. Needless to say we didn't go camping and we were both really sick all weekend! I have never been that sick ever I don't think. Well on Saturday night my mom called us and me and Ty were both running a 103 fever and had all weekend, so my mom was worried and came down and we went to the hospital, it was crazy! We were there for 6 hours and got nothing out of it, it was frustrating!! But we finally started feeling better by Monday afternoon, but we are both still trying to get past this! We don't know what it was, I guess the Swine Flu!!! haha
Scrapbook Weekend!
Every year Ty's Grandma from Huntington Beach California hosts a Creative Memory national scrapbook day at her house in California. Cheryl my mother in law has been going for a long time and I have been going since we got married. It is a really fun girl weekend and it is fun to see Ty's grandparents and spend some quality one on one time with them. The last few years Megan has been coming, and now Heidi comes too! Andrea was going to come this year, but had some family commitments here, she will be coming next year! During the same weekend my work went to a Hospitality and Design show for hotels hosted in Las Vegas so they had me fly down on Thursday morning to spend the day and night with them before the girls picked me up on Friday while they drove into California. It was really fun, me and the girl I work with Angie got there earlier than my boss Darren and Chris so we got to walk around vegas and went shopping and stuff. We went to the HD show during the day which was really fun to meet all of our manufacturers and put a face to a name! That night my work took us to the "O" it was a cirque de soleil show at the Belagio, it was amazing! It was really cool and they did a whole bunch of acrobatic stuff into water, it was amazing! On Friday morning Cheryl came and got me from Vegas and we drove to California. We scrapbook all day Saturday and help grandma make food and organize everything. After the convention we went to the Huntington Beach pier and walked around, it was so pretty made me want to live by the ocean! We saw a restaurant called Duke's so I obviously took a picture by it! While we were walking around there was a commotion and a group of people standing around, and we stopped and watched these guys do like a little comedy show, and they passed around a hat for people to give money. Than one of the guys got 6 people from the audience and had them stand bent over next to each other. He then ran and flipped over them! I am going to try to upload the video so you can see it! Anyway we had a great time and look forward to next year!
Tuachan
Ok so I have a lot of catching up to do with this blog! Last month was pretty crazy, but really fun. Ty's friend from work got some tickets to go see Brian Reagan at the Tuachan in St. George so we went down and stayed in Ty's parents house on a Thursday night and stayed until Sunday morning. His friend's wife is pregnant and was not feeling very well so they didn't come down with us, he came on Friday with his brother in law. So me and Ty got to hang out on Friday just the 2 of us, it was really fun we went hiking behind his parents house and explored for a few hours and than just relaxed. The Tuachan was really fun, I have never been there so it was a cool experience for me. Brian Reagan was hilarious as usual! We drove home on Sunday which was Mothers Day and spent the day with my mom and Ty's mom, it was a nice day. This was a fun weekend with just me and Ty together with no Kennady, even thought we really missed her!
